Erzähl mir was,
Graben-Neudorf
From June to September 2021, Lukas Gauntt & Maíra Wiener, as an artist duo, collected stories, anecdotes and memories from current and former residents from the town of Graben-Neudorf. The growing postcard collection was exhibited at the town hall from August to September of that same year.
Especially the topic of migration interested the artist in the collection of postcards from local people. As postmigrants with and without own migration experience, Gauntt & Wiener find it important to think of migration from different perspectives. In this project, this included highlighting migration movements in and out of the town of Graben-Neudorf over the centuries and examining discourses surrounding the topic in a performative bike tour, where people could take part from August to September.
From the collection of personal stories from yesterday and today, the question for tomorrow arises: How do we want to live together in the future?
